New Year's Eve Part II

Just wanted to post pictures of our littlest Cats fan and our mini party. We did eat ice cream for dinner and do a pretend countdown with party poppers and streamers at 7:30 (short naps made for sleepy girls!) We live on the wild side here, LOL! A great end to 2011 of I do say so myself. God is good!

Daddy Daughter Date

Oh how New Year's Eve has changed! Ha! Josh and Camy are out on a date to see the new Chipmunk's movie and of course eat popcorn and candy. I will love it when we can all go, but it is so precious to see that little pony tail walk off holding her daddy's hand.
Of course the party is just beginning for the day. The Cats are going to dominate the little cardinal birds and then we are ringing in the new year with the kids before bedtime at 8:30 :) hopefully I will make it to midnight so I can kiss my sweetie.
I'm so thankful for all the blessings God has given us in 2011, biggest of which, our little Hadley boo. I can't wait to see what He has in store for the Burt's in 2012. I pray we will be obedient and grow in our faith each day and love one another the way the Lord wants us to. Happy New Year everyone!!

Hadley's First Christmas

What a great day we had today!  Hadley is already in bed, worn out from a day full of new toys and playing.  Camy is not too far behind as she sits and watches a movie with Nana and Poppy.  We are so blessed to be able to celebrate the birth of Christ with our beautiful heathy children and my sweet in-laws.  The girls were so excited to see all the new toys under the tree this morning. . . .well Hadley was excited by all the opportunities there were to eat paper!  Her first Christmas was propably similar to a lot of babies, special to mom and dad, but to her just a little more busy than any other day.  My heart is full along with my belly.  Blessings to all and Merry Christmas!

Happy Birthday to Josh!!

Today my sweet husband turns 28!  It's crazy to think that when we got married he was only a mere boy of 23, LOL!  I am so thankful that God has blessed me with Josh to be my husband.  This may sound cliche, but I do truly love him more each day. Thinking about who each of us were when we were 22 and 23 years old and how much we have grown and changed since then is nothing more than hard evidence of God's power, grace, and mercy.
I love celebrating birthdays and even though Josh's birthday poses a unique challenge since it's right in the middle of the Christmas hustle and bustle, it is a special day.  Today we are in Logansport to spend his birthday and Christmas with his family.  Pizza, and both cupcakes and cheese cake are on the menu for birthday dinner.  From me and the kids he got the latest gadget. . . .Apple TV.  I will never understand the technology infatuation, but then again I am typing this on one of them there computer thingys.
We plan to end the night with him reading the Christmas story to us all before bed.  Birthday or not, he is still in charge of pointing us all to the real meaning of Christmas. We love you Josh and hope you have a very happy birthday!!!
